Monthly Archives: June 2015
Ok folks, what episode of OITNB are you on? It’s back and I will probably get through the whole season within two weeks, would be much quicker if I wasn’t employed – HA! Since the season is back, and I happened to have this AWESOME Maxi dress in my closet, I thought I would start the blog post with a catchy title.
Now, onto the dress…have you all been to Old Navy lately? I bet you wouldn’t believe this dress was from there, and I got it during a great sale, SCORE! It also comes in cobalt blue and both colors are vibrant. I spent all of last summer without a maxi dress, but it is such a closet staple that I had to find one this year. This one specifically can be dressed up or down, in the post I wore it casually with a pair of gladiators from Fergie Shoes (which I also LOVE), a fedora, and a denim vest (also Old Navy). BOOM! There you have your weekend BBQ outfit.

I am loving this fruit print trend! Summer is always set aside for some fun with your wardrobe, this is a great way to incorporate color and not take yourself too seriously. Don’t like the fruit options? I’ve seen a ton of Donut prints too (yum). Hope this post brings you some fun inspo! Seriously though, who can resist those pineapple earrings??
I haven’t posted in a few weeks because life has been SO busy, all good things though. I recently had my family visiting and we went to Disney Land (always a good time) and then spent two days on Catalina Island. I have to say, Catalina was just as magical as Disney, it makes you feel as if you are pulling up to the coastline of Italy. If you haven’t been yet you need to go! It is only 22 miles off the coast of Long Beach (about an hour boat ride), but it feels like a whole new world. I took a few snaps for you all on Insta (here).
I’ll be back to routine this week and hopefully posting more outfits soon!
Happy month of June, folks!! This blog post was suppose to go up last week but never quite made the cut in time. I went a bit MIA since I had to spend a full week working a trade show in Las Vegas, but I am back and storming up new outfit posts.
During Memorial Day weekend ~B~ and I spent Sunday-Monday at the Hyatt in Palm Springs and it was AMAZING! I desperately needed to relax and get some pool time (hence the pale legs) before jetting off to work non-stop on Tuesday. I mentioned in earlier posts that my goal is to explore local areas this summer and Palm Springs was one of those on the list. This next weekend we are going white water rafting and camping at the Kern River (will post pics on Instagram, follow along here).
I wore this dress on Sunday night for dinner at Trio (SO YUMMY, I have to admit I practically inhaled my halibut dish). If you go to Palm Springs, pay them a visit (link to their website here). Then we headed to the local casino where we of course lost money, gotta have some fun I guess.
I was a bit saddened because I couldn’t find a link to this dress anywhere online and it is so gorgeous and comfortable. I originally bought it at a boutique I discovered in DTLA called Samira’s Closet. If you are in the DTLA area it is a must stop for cute fashion finds. Of course being the relentless person that I am, I gave my Google search skills another try and FOUND THE DRESS! If you haven’t heard of Shoptiques yet, it is an online website allowing you to shop a variety of boutiques online. There my friends, I found this wonderful-amazing-gorgeous Collective Concepts dress for you (link to shop is here).
